I found Paul to be well versed in applying very practical experiential and self-learning techniques and offering appropriate levels of guidance and feedback.
Paul was very familiar with the material and gave excellent feedback. He was also very helpful in offering means and methods of applying what was learned in a non-judgmental, non-biased way, versus telling me what I needed to think.
He was also understanding of my decision to not apply/discuss portions of the exercise as it related to my personal life, which was a boundary that I set as being off limits, even though the program is set up to look at personal issues and relationships in addition to/versus business relationships and applications. His willingness to accept my conditions showed great flexibility, and Paul also demonstrated great adaptability in order to accomplish the goals of the program versus being rigid and uncompromising in his approach.
I had previous knowledge of Paul through his key role in assisting our firm in the development of a strategic plan, and his standing in my eyes only continues to improve after going through the [coaching] exercise with him.
Paul’s approach of having me apply this self-knowledge was superb, in urging/suggesting that I take the enhanced self-awareness gained through the exercises to the next step, i.e.: don’t just recognize tendencies, know both the positives and negatives of those tendencies and use that knowledge to change behaviors when appropriate.
